As a result of the "Rose Revolution", the economy was totally damaged - PM candidate
Despite positive steps, many mistakes have been committed, and today we are reaping the results - such was PM Candidate's main message while talking about the past 30 years at the sitting of the GD faction in the parliament.
The main focus fell on Rose Revolution and noted, that Rose Revolution brought total damage to the economy.
Irakli Gharibashvili noted in his speech, that the population had high hopes for the "revolution", but instead of imaginary development, they got totally damaged economy, war, loss of territories and so on.
"The heavy legacy of reckless, anti-state policies that we have inherited cannot be changed immediately. Tangible results of 2012 victory were the liberation from persecution and torture, the de-politicization of state institutions. Gradually, the most important steps were made towards the recovery of the economy, the health care system, social equality. The current army and police cannot be compared to the previous one," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
For reference, when Irakli Garibashvili was the Prime Minister, Georgian economy increased by 4.4% and 3% accordingly in 2014-2015
