Mariam Shengelia, the sales manager of the wooden cottage construction company Kotejebi.ge, says the cost of construction materials has increased by 10-65% on average, which has also affected the price of their products.

According to her, the main demand is from mountainous regions, and customers build cottages mostly for the business.

"The demand is quite high, we still have a few ongoing projects, but from spring demand increases significantly. We mainly receive orders from mountainous regions - Racha, Adjara and Gudauri.

As for the construction fee, it increases according to the price of the material and the complexity of the project. Recently, the price of the material has increased a lot, therefore, the price of our projects is also fluctuating - at this stage, construction prices vary between USD 350-400. It includes the complete arrangement - starting with the roof, ending with internal doors and arranging the bathroom, our main goal is to hand it over to the customer in a habitable condition. We adjust the project to the customer's request and budget", said Mariam Shengelia.

The sales manager of Kotejebi.ge tells that their company is new on the market, launched before the pandemic, in 2019, therefore, at this stage, they do not employ many people, although they are trying their best to involve and interest young people in their work.
