Larization Ratio For Total Loans Exceeded 53%

Larization ratio for total loans constituted 53.44% by September 1, 2022 and decreased by 0.43 percentage point (exchange rate effect excluded, increased by 0.59 percentage point), compared to August 1, 2022, - according to the report published by the National Bank of Georgia (Geostat).

The volume of loans issued by commercial banks (excluding interbank loans) in August 2022 increased by GEL 1.1 billion or by 2.68% compared to the previous month and constituted GEL 43.21 billion by September 1, 2022.

The volume of loans in national currency increased by GEL 422.71 million (1.86%) and the volume of loans in foreign currency increased by GEL 706.90 million or by 3.64% in the same period (exchange rate effect excluded, decreased by 0.52%).

The volume of lending to the resident household sector increased by 2.9% or GEL 646.86 million and constituted GEL 22.99 billion by September 1, 2022.
