Three Persons Exposed On The Fact Of Neglecting Official Duty

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, exposed three persons on the fact of neglecting official duty.
Investigation determined that the accused persons, who were employees of one of the municipalities of Imereti, were assigned to supervise the ongoing road rehabilitation works in the mentioned region.
Accused improperly performed their official duties, which allowed the contractor company to actually perform less work than what was agreed on in the contract, thus substantially violating the legitimate interests of the state.
Investigation is underway under the first part of article 342 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment up to 3 years.
