External merchandise trade, excluding non-declared trade, of Georgia amounted to USD 10 186.1 million in January-July 2022, 35.3 percent higher year-on-year, reads an updated data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat).
The value of export increased by 36.3 percent reaching USD 3 098.7 million, GeoStat says.
Import increased by 34.8 percent and amounted to USD 7 087.4 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 3 988.7 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 39.2 percent.
