Assistance program of 200 GEL for citizens, who lost their source of income amid pandemic is at the final stage. Part of the population will receive the last assistance of 200 GEL in October. However, as of the government decree, another part of citizens, whose employees submitted application before July 1, will get assistance of 200 GEL in November-December.
According to the official statistics, 161,905 unique beneficiaries have received assistance of 200 GEL during 5 months.
As for the total sum, according to the Department of Labor, 106 288 400 GEL has been transferred to the beneficiaries, while 450 million GEL has been provided for that project in the budget of 2020.
Compensation Statistics for the beneficiaries by months:
May - GEL 14,426,200 was transferred to 72,131 individuals;
June - GEL 28,760,200 was transferred to 143,801 individuals;
July - GEL 25,486,000 was transferred to 127,430 individuals;
August - GEL 19,353,000 transferred to 96,765 individuals;
September - GEL 18,263,000 transferred to 91,315 individuals;
On April 24, 2020, the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia presented an anti-crisis budget, which provided compensation of 200 GEL for the unemployed individuals for 6 months.
