As he explained to the journalists, all the confirmed cases are imported by Georgian citizens from abroad.

"Unfortunately, as in the whole of Europe, the functioning of the delta strain is very high. The Delta Strain is becoming a leader in too many countries. The number of detections of this strain is also increasing in Georgia. Mostly our citizens are returning from different countries of the world.

At present, 18 cases of infection with this strain have been confirmed. The Indian strain is starting to spread," Paata Imnadze said.

According to him, all existing studies indicate that the vaccines available in the world protect from death and resuscitation, although different vaccines have different clinical protection.
