2023 Will Be A Year Of Further Growth For The Georgian Economy - Kovzanadze

Irakli Kovzanadze, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the Parliament, met with Pawel Herczynski, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia. Paata Kvizhinadze, the first deputy chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee, also participated in the meeting.

Irakli Kovzanadze introduced to the ambassador the functions of the committee and plans for the current year. The conversation touched upon the priorities for the 2023 state budget, the macroeconomic parameters of the country, monetary stability, and the sustainability of the financial and banking system. As Irakli Kovzanadze pointed out, the country had double-digit economic growth for the last two years.

"I think that 2023 will be a year of further growth for the economy of Georgia," said the chairman of the committee.

The importance and prospects of further expansion of trade and economic relations and investment opportunities between Georgia and the European Union were emphasized at the meeting.
