Kakha Sharabidze, the founder and managing partner of the law firm BLB declares that Georgia needs a systemic approach to attract investments.

"Attracting investments is a complex process and we cannot only talk about the fair court. Georgia will get only 2 out of 10 points in terms of attracting investments, because all countries use systematic efforts to attract FDI. Last year, a very good study was published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which reflects the investment policy of our country and talks about the need for a systemic approach. The states ahead of us are spending more money and effort to find investments. Nothing is being done with us in this direction. In addition to the unfavorable environment, the country has spoiled its investment image. Even state institutions do not care about being able to reach an investor and bring them even in this situation," said Kakha Sharabidze.

Speaking about the growing investment environment and the attractiveness of the country, the managing partner of the law firm BLB also noted that "caring for existing investors is another problem, because one issue is bringing an investor, the other is what you get here and how you take care of it."

“The state does not care for the investors, who are already in Georgia. The state looks as if they are not eager for an investor to come here”, Kakha Sharabidze added.
