According to Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Irakli Khmaladze, 30 million GEL is envisaged in the city budget for the purchase of 300 mini-buses.
As Khamaladze told the reporters, about 1,500 mini-buses serve the city today, but supposedly their number will be declined.
“The sum that is required for the purchase of 300 mini buses is already in the budget. The mater concerns to over 30 million GEL. About 1400-1500 mini-buses serve to the city currently, but their number might be declined. Mini-buses will be used for connecting with buses. It is difficult to say what amount of sum is necessary for the renovation in total, but 300 units of buses are the number of buses that is needed now”, Khmaladze said.
According to him, the tender on new mini-buses will be announced in the nearest future.
"As for the color and brand of the mini-buses, I cannot say that, the tender should be announced and it will become clear then”, Khmaladze said.
