3,542 New Cases – Covid Statistics

According to information published on Stopcov.ge, within the intensive testing, 57,978 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 34,558 tests with antigen tests and 23,420 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 3,542 newly confirmed cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 886,364.
 
As for the positivity rate, as of December 10, the daily rate is 6.11%, for the last 14 days - 7.93% and for 7 days - 7.53%.
 
• 2,234 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, while the total number of recoveries increased to 827,676.
 
• 64 new deaths from coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 12,695 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.
 
Out of 3,542 new cases of infection detected in the country today:

1,648 cases were detected in Tbilisi, Adjara - 187, Imereti - 558, Kvemo Kartli - 182, Shida Kartli - 251, Guria - 85, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 276, Kakheti - 154, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 117, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 64 , Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 20.
 
The current active incidence of infection at this stage is 45,967 of which:
 
• 6 164 people are treated in hospitals, including 2 422 in Tbilisi hospitals, 516 in Adjara, 1 307 in Imereti.

• At this stage, 1,560 people are seriously ill, including 608 in Tbilisi, 122 in Adjara, 456 in Imereti. There are 334 people on artificial respiration, of which 182 are in Tbilisi, 35 in Adjara and 34 in Imereti.

• 1,174 people are accommodated in clinical hotels, including 742 in Tbilisi and 255 in Adjara.

• 38,629 people are undergoing treatment for the virus at home.
 
• 37 people are placed in quarantine areas, including 35 in Tbilisi and 2 in Adjara.

• A total of 25,296 people have been transferred from the state border to quarantine areas from October 6, 2020 to December 10, 2010.

• 39,512 people are in self-isolation at this stage.
