45 Georgian citizens are infected with coronavirus abroad, while 13 have died

A total of 45 Georgian citizens have been infected with coronavirus abroad and 13 have died, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani said on Friday.

“A total of 45 Georgian citizens have been infected with coronavirus abroad and 13 have died. The majority of infected individuals have mild or less severe forms of the virus. Amid the imposed restrictions, as you know, the regulations on transferring deceased citizens has tightened and the procedures have been conducted in accordance with the relevant protocol of the World Health Organization, so the process was often delayed. In this case, the state provided assistance to the family members of the deceased citizens," said Minister Zalkaliani.
