According to Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia, the country has received information from UNICEF regarding the introduction of additional doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.

"On April 30, an additional 46,000 doses of AstraZeneca will arrive in the country to start second-dose vaccination in mid-May and also to continue vaccinating those who are age-appropriate for vaccination," Gabunia said.

At the same time, according to the Deputy Minister, the registration of vaccination with "Sinopharm" will start on April 27.

"Consultations on the use of Sinopharm will be completed this week, and we think that from May 4, when the Easter holidays are over, vaccination with Sinopharm and AstraZeneca will continue actively," said Tamar Gabunia.
