The National Center for Disease Control and Public Health has released information on the detection of the Indian strain of SARS-CoV-2.
 
"As part of its competence, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health is constantly monitoring the spread of SARS-CoV-2 strains circulating in the country. Indian strain of SARS-CoV-2.
 
As part of the epidemiological surveillance, PCR studies and sequencing of a sample of 5 travelers entering the country revealed that these individuals were infected with the Indian strain of SARS-CoV-2.

All infected are identified and isolated. They entered Georgia on different dates, from the same country, but are citizens of different countries. Three of them have already left the country.
 
According to epidemiologists, their clinical condition is satisfactory," the NCDC said in a statement.
