Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia declares, that 6,700 beds are mobilized today. According to the Deputy Minister, about 600 beds have been added in the last 2 days.
"5,500 patients are being treated in hospitals, more than 1,000 of them are in the intensive care unit. Consultations are continued with clinics and the issue of adding COVID-beds is already finished. We already have such experience and we still think that additional beds will be mobilized," Tamar Gabunia said.
According to the Deputy Minister, the demand for pediatric beds has been offset.
"There is no need for additional pediatric beds, because fortunately, most of the cases are mild. The situation is fully managed in this regard," Gabunia said.
