Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has announced earlier today that the governments of Georgia and the United States have made a joint decision to return 79 Georgian school students who are currently in the US to Georgia tomorrow amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Gakharia said that the flight from the United States to Doha will be operated by the American side, while the transportation of the 79 children from Doha to Georgia will be ensured by the Georgian government.

I would like to thank our strategic partner, the US and of course the Embassy of the United States in Georgia, its entire staff and the Ambassador Kelly Degnan”, said Gakharia.

35 school students who are Armenian citizens will also arrive on the flight tomorrow.
