"Statistics tell us that most of the infected people were unvaccinated. Also, most of the people who are admitted to the hospital are unvaccinated. That’s about 98% or more.
Resuscitation affects less than 1% of vaccinated persons and there have been several deaths.
The vaccine protects against hospitalization and death. Thus, the vaccine is the only solution in the current situation, "- said Gabunia.
At this stage, there are 34,394 active cases of infection, of which: 5,153 people are treated in hospitals, including 1,747 in Tbilisi hospitals, 470 in Adjara, 1,255 in Imereti. At this stage, 1,154 people are seriously ill, including in Tbilisi. 371, in Adjara - 81, in Imereti - 412.
