A Doctor and a Nurse Will Receive 16 Gel for Vaccination of Citizens Over 60 Years of Age

A government decree has been published in the Legislative Herald, which will provide additional remuneration to vaccination brigades that vaccinate citizens over 60 years of age. In particular, a doctor and a nurse will be paid 16 GEL for a double vaccination of a citizen over 60 years of age.
 
In total, the supplement is 20 GEL, of which 20% or 4 GEL is allocated for administrative expenses. Accordingly, during the first dose of vaccination for a person over 60 years of age, the doctor and the nurse will receive an additional 4 GEL (each), and when vaccinated with the second dose, they will receive an additional 4 GEL(each).

Accordingly, the total compensation received by them in case of vaccination with both doses will be 16 GEL.

"The service will be reimbursed according to the work performed, but not more than 20 GEL (including not less than 80% - salary fund, 20% - administrative expenses). In this case - the remuneration is set at 10 GEL; in case of a second dose vaccination - the remuneration is set at 10 GEL. ”- the resolution reads.

995,000 people are vaccinated in Georgia at the moment, 850,000 of them have been vaccinated twice. In the second half of September, the rate of primary vaccination in the country dropped, currently, 2/3 of the vaccines are vaccinated with the second dose. Only 7,815 vaccinations were administered in the country in the last 24 hours.
