BM.Ge applied to the Ministry of Health of Georgia about the progress of the universal healthcare program and requested information about the state funds spent under the program.
According to the Ministry, the inspection deadline for the documentation submitted by the clinics is 60 working days, and if the documentation is defective, the clinics will be able to re-submit the documentation within 60 working days. According to the ministry, they do not currently have overdue debts towards their clinics.
In addition, the ministry said that in 2019, the payment for "universal healthcare" amounted to GEL 824.9 million.
