The Interagency Coordination Council made several covid decisions today, which were introduced to the public by the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili.

In particular, as the head of the government noted, from today, it will no longer be mandatory to wear face masks in the open space. From July 1, the curfew (restriction of movement) will be lifted.

"I want to inform you about the decision made today. From today, it will no longer be mandatory to wear a face mask in open spaces, except for transport and indoor spaces. Second - from July 1, the restriction of movement will be lifted. Third, a million doses of the vaccine will be delivered in two and a half weeks, and we will start the intensive vaccination process," the prime minister said.

Even though the curfew will be lifted from July 1, restaurants will be able to operate only up until 24:00.

Giorgi Ghibradze, the head of the operative headquarters of the Interagency Coordination Council, stated about it.

"Restrictions will be lifted from July 1. One limitation that remains is the operation of restaurants that will operate until 24:00. The same goes for other entertainment venues - nightclubs and public catering establishments. The same applies to restaurants in hotels that have guests and have restaurant space," Ghibradze explained.
