On 21-22 February, Carl Hartzell, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia will travel to Kakheti to highlight the EU’s support to the region. He will visit various sites in Sagarejo, Sighnaghi, Gurjaani and Dedoplistskaro municipalities.
On February 21, Ambassador Hartzel, together with Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mzia Giorgobiani, will visit projects of Pilot Integrated Regional Development Grant Programme (PiRDP). The PiRDP has a budget of 220 million GEL, of which 186 million GEL is provided by the EU. Carl Hartzell and Mzia Giorgobiani will meet with small business representatives, farmers and exporters, as well as visit local enterprises.
At the end of the day, the Ambassador and Deputy Minister will talk about new business opportunities in Gurjaani Technopark.
