Ambassador Degnan met with PM Gharibashvili

The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili, met with the Ambassador of the United States of America to Georgia Kelly Degnan. The government administration spreads information about the meeting.
 
According to the agency, a wide range of issues on the agenda of Georgia-US bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting held at the administration.
 
"The Prime Minister and the Ambassador also talked about the political processes in the country. It was noted that it is important that, in the light of the challenges in the world and in the region, the parties make efforts to conduct the ongoing political processes in Georgia in a constructive, dialogue mode. " - is said in the information spread by the agency.

The government administration also released a comment from Ambassador Degnan.
 
"We had a very productive meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia. The United States and Georgia have a comprehensive agenda, and it is important for us to continue working on these initiatives under the leadership of the new Prime Minister.

We want the political crisis to subside quickly so that Georgia can return to other important challenges it faces, including restoring economic status.
The United States will continue to support Georgia to enable the country to the reactive economy, respond to the new coronavirus pandemic, and, of course, maintain a strong level of security.
 
"We reaffirm our strong support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Kelly Degnan said after meeting with the Prime Minister.
