Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, does not see a problem with a citizen being vaccinated with a different vaccine for the second time.

The head of the NCDC told reporters that several countries have already set a precedent for mixing vaccines.

"At this stage, it is still recommended to get the second dose of the same vaccine as the first dose, but studies are underway, and at the moment, researchers do not see a big problem in getting the second dose of another vaccine.

It may happen that you have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca. However, you do not wait 21 days and want to be vaccinated with a second dose faster. In this case, for instance, I do not see a problem with getting another vaccine," Gamkreldze said and added that those vaccinated with another vaccine for their second dose must submit an official statement to the Ministry of Health. The Vaccination Scientific Committee will issue the relevant permit after discussion.
