According to the head of the National Center for Disease Control, 3 regions are the most notable in terms of the number of infection cases. Amiran Gamkrelidze stated about it at the press conference held after the Coordination Council.

According to Gamkrelidze, the hot spot in the last month was Adjara, but today the infection has left this region and moved to other places.

"In the last month, the hottest spot in the country was Adjara, where the rate of infection was constantly high, but there (in Adjara) there are signs of gradual, serious stabilization. Out of today'ss 680 cases, 189 have been reported in Adjara, which accounts for 28% of the total number of those infected. Within one month, 65% to 70% of infection cases came from Adjara, but the infection spread outside Adjara; There are three most alarming regions and the capital, where the highest rate was recorded today - 297, which accounted for 44% of new cases. Also, there is a high rate of infection in Imereti, which is mainly at the expense of Kutaisi - we had 150 cases or 22% of the total infection, "- said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
