"Apart from the workplaces defined by the regulations, the holidays will affect everyone," said Giorgi Ghibradze, Chief of the Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council.
The government has declared May 4-11 a holiday. As Ghibradze explained, three ministries are working on the order and it will be made public in the near future.
"As for the holidays, there are services in the country, the work of which is necessary for the proper functioning of the country. Apart from the workplaces defined by the regulations, the holidays will affect everyone.
It is a joint order developed by the three ministries and it is still being worked on," Ghibradze said.
When asked whether the malls would be closed on public holidays, a government official said: "I did not say that the malls will be closed."
