Apparel exports from Georgia have increased dramatically. In 2022, clothes USD 139.688 million worth were exported from the country. The growth was 28% y-o-y.

The main export market is Turkey, 90% of total exports account for this country. Products worth USD 126.2 million were delivered to Turkey. Turkish investments prevail in the garment industry. Large orders are received through Turkish partners. The products also reach different markets through Turkey.

Apparel Exports In 2022

• T-shirts and warm knitted products – USD 75.2 million;
• Suits, knitting sets – USD 44.10 million;
• Sweaters, pullovers - USD 5.6 million;
• Children's clothing – USD 4.78 million;
• Women's suits, sets – USD 3.62 million;
• Tights, socks - USD 2.06 million;
• Coats, robes – USD 1.6 million;

According to Geostat, apparel exports show a growing trend. For example, compared to 2018, exports have increased 2.3 folds.
