One of the priorities of the Bank of Georgia is business promotion and strengthening of agricultural management in the region. With the financial support of the bank, the company Agrogardens planted apple orchards on 22 ha in Gori village of Zerti. The total cost of the project is GEL 7,000,000. The bank's investment amounts to GEL 5,300,000. The bank's financial resources were used for the cultivation of seedlings, as well as for the purchase and arrangement of agricultural equipment, hail protection and drip systems.

The company started planting gardens in 2021. The first harvest is expected in 2023.

"We have been cooperating with the Bank of Georgia for almost 2 years. Within the framework of the partnership, we planted apple orchards of various varieties. These varieties are distinguished by special taste qualities and the demand for them, both in the Georgian and foreign markets, is quite high. Accordingly, we plan to sell not only in Georgia, but also in neighboring countries", said the director of Agrogardens, Davit Japaridze.
