"Price is low in one clinic, while the costs are higher on the same intervention in other clinics”, - said Tamar Gabunia, deputy health minister.

According to her, the ministry has conducted serious research in the field of market and prices, as the budget money is spent in the field of public health insurance and they are responsible for effectively wasting the state budget.

"It is important to know what the difference is between prices, as we are responsible for managing the state budget," the deputy minister said.

On the question, whether the prices in the clinics are exaggerated, the deputy responded that "it is difficult to explain the difference in rates."

"We do not exclude that these clinics are a great resource for tariff rationalization: due to administrative costs, as the average occupancy of most clinics is 47%, it means that large administrative costs are distributed ion the half of the beds that work, ”said Tamar Gabunia.
