Armenian exports in 2022 October grew by 125% compared to the same month last year, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said at a press briefing in the parliament.

According to him, this shows that despite the existence of problems, there are still wide opportunities for Armenian exports to grow.

"The withdrawal of many companies from the Russian market has created a vacuum, which is being filled by other companies," he said.

Earlier, Kerobyan said that exports in September almost doubled as opposed to September 2021.

According to official data, Armenia’s foreign trade in January-September 2022 amounted to over $9.3 billion having surged by 62.5% from the same time span in 2021.

Armenian exports in the first nine months of 2022 compared to January-September 2021 increased by 63.8%, amounting to over $2.9 billion.

Armenian imports during the reporting period amounted to about $5.8 billion, registering a 61.6% increase compared to January-September 2021, ARKA reports.
