Armenia’s consumer prices in October 2021 were up 9.6% compared to October 2020, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
NSC said the prices in 2021 November were up 1.7% compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, during January-November 2021 prices increased by 7.1% against the same period of 2020, ARKA reports.
According to the NSC, the prices of foodstuffs and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 16.9% in November 2021 compared to November 2020 and by 3.7% compared to October this year.
Alcohol and tobacco products were up 9.5% and 0.2% respectively. Prices of clothing and footwear rose by 12.1% and 2.3% respectively, while utilities upped by 1.6% and 0.4% respectively.
Household goods, appliances rose in price by 8.7% compared to November 2020 and did not change compared to October 2021.
Health care services rose by 4.5% and did not change compared to October, 2021, transportation services upped by 8.5% and 0.6% respectively, communications services rose by 0.9% and 0.1% respectively, recreation and entertainment prices upped by 11.5% and 2.6% respectively, education prices grew by 1.4% and 0% respectively, restaurants and hotel prices grew by 4.7% and 0.8% respectively.
According to the statistical data, the prices of non-food products in November 2021 rose by 9.9% compared to November last year, and by 0.8%, when compared to October 2021.
Also, services rose by 1.8% year-over-year and 0.4% compared to October 2-21.
