Armenia's consumer price index (CPI) in January-September 2022 increased by 8.6% compared to the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
At the same time, the consumer price index in September 2022 was up 9.9% when compared to September 2021 and up 0.6% compared to August 2022.
According to the NSC, the price index for manufactured goods rose 4.1% in the first nine months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. At the same time, in September 2022 alone it was down 3.3% from September 2021, and up 2.9% compared to August 2022.
Armenian government’s initial growth projection for 2022 is 7%, and the inflation is set at 4% (± 1.5%). In September 2022, the Central Bank revised upward its growth forecast to 12.9%, saying also the yearned inflation will be around 10%, ARKA reports.
