According to a report released by the National Statistics Committee of Armenia, real GDP growth in Armenia was 7.6% in 2019, which is the highest growth rate in the South Caucasus region in the past year.
According to official data, Armenia's GDP increased to 6,551,849.7 million drams ($ 13.7 billion) last year.
Armenia's economic growth is as follows by the sectors: mining sector - growth of 21%; processing industry - 12% increase; trade - 9.3% growth; communications - 11% increase; financial sector - 22% growth; real estate transactions - 5.7% increase; healthcare - 9.8% growth.
For comparison, Georgia's economic growth in 2019 has made up 5.2%.
