As of February 1, 2022, the number of employees in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.679 million people, of which 901,000 people are employed in the public sector, and 778,100 in the non-state sector, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

In January of this year, the average monthly nominal wage of employees in the country's economy increased by 10.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to US$ 451 (765.9 manat).

The average monthly nominal wage was higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, construction, transport and warehousing.
