In January 2023, the production in the Thermal Power Stations (TPS) in Azerbaijan increased by 210.1 million kWh or 8.56% to 2,664.7 million kWh, in Water Power Stations (WPS) dropped by 13.5 million kWh or 24.95 to 67.2 million kWh, the Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan says.
The production in other sources (Wind Power Stations – WPS, Solar Power Stations – SPS, and Solid Waste Incineration Plant) during the reporting period stood at 24.06 million kWh, up 0.64 million kWh or 2.59% from a year earlier.
The WPSs produced 0.78 million kWh of energy (-88.36%), SPSs – 3.93 million kWh (+19.09%), and Solid Waste Incineration Plant – 19.35 million kWh (+31.63%).
The electricity production across the country stood at 2,755.9 million kWh in January 2023, showing a 195.9 million kWh or 7.7% growth compared to a year earlier, Report informs.
