Belarus' Export up by 32.2% to $26bn in January-July

In January-July 2021 Belarus' export of merchandise and services rose by 32.2% year-on-year to $26.14 billion, BelTA learned from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

In January-July 2021 Belarus' foreign trade totaled $50.27 billion, up by 30% year-on-year. Import amounted to $24.13 billion (up 27.8%). Surplus of foreign trade in goods and services equaled $2.01 billion, up from $891.9 million in January-July 2020.
 
Belarus' merchandise trade soared by 32.5% to $41.415 billion. Merchandise export went up by 36.5% to $20.448 billion, with merchandise import up by 28.9% to $20.966 billion. Merchandise trade deficit totaled $517.9 million. In January-July 2020 Belarus also had a deficit of $1.29 million.
 
In January-July 2021 foreign trade in services reached $8.854 billion, up by 19.4% year-on-year. Export of services amounted to $5.691 billion (up by 18.6% up), with import at $3.163 billion (up by 20.8%). Surplus of foreign trade in services equaled $2.528 billion, up from $2.182 billion in January-July 2020.
