Berkeley SkyDeck Stakes on Georgian Kvalifika

Georgian startup Kvalifika is the first company from Georgia to be chosen for participating in Berkeley Skydeck Accelerator in Silicon Valley. Berkeley SkyDeck helps promising early-stage startups from around the world to grow rapidly and become global player. 1,800 applications were submitted during 2020 and Kvalifika has got among the top 50 companies.

Georgian Kvalifika is one of the latest innovative startups whose solution allows the customer to be identified remotely. In particular, the system uses 3D biometrics to create customer's biometric template and compare it with the 2D image on the ID card.

"The sharpest competition was recorded in 2020," Gabriel Meliva, Cofounder at Kvalifika, told BM.GE. “Our competitive advantages is interesting business model which we aim to develop for global market and the team which we think is the crucial part for every investor or accelerator,” said Meliva.

Berkeley SkyDeck gives startups access to 300 top advisors, mentors as they prepare to pitch more than 800 investors on Demo Day.
