International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) publishes leaked data with select media partners including the Guardian and BBC. The Pandora Papers represent the latest – and largest in terms of data volume – in a series of major leaks of financial data that have convulsed the offshore world since 2013.

Millions of documents reveal offshore deals and assets of more than 100 billionaires, 30 world leaders and 300 public officials. The list includes former Prime Minister of Georgian and billinoaure Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The leaked materials are based on internal data from the law firm Alcogal, which has served as one of the mediators for Ivanishvili to establish offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), through which Ivanishvili founded a total of 12 companies. One of them, Silverpot Holdings Ltd, held a stake in various companies, while the purpose of Brighton Corporate Ltd was to finance the loan of Ivanishvili's co-investment fund.

According to the materials, the financial regulator of the British Virgin Islands in 2011 was interested in the activities of another offshore company of Ivanishvili - Finsek, to which he replied that the firm was engaged in the management of property for Ivanishvili's children.

The Pandora Papers hit Russian President Vladimir Putin, who owns secret assets in Monaco. Also the list includes Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and members of his family, who have been involved in large (more than 700 700 million) real estate deals in the UK.
