110 new cases of COVID-19 are confirmed within the last 24 hours. Since the detection of the first case, 247 915 cases have been proven test-positive so far in Georgia.
1 643 individuals have recovered within the last 24 hours, thus making the total number of recoveries reach 234 636.
Unfortunately, 25 new fatal cases have occurred within the last 24 hours. Since the outbreak, the total death toll has reached 2 958.
Out of 110 new cases detected today, geographic coverage of COVID-19 is as follows: 72 cases have been detected in Tbilisi, 13 – in Adjara, 5 – in Imereti, 4 – in Kvemo Kartli, 0 – in Shida Kartli, 5 – in Guria, 4 – in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 5 – in Kakheti, 0 – in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 2 – in Samtskhe-Javakheti and 0 – in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
At present, active cases of COVID-19 have reached 10 295, out of which 3 670 individuals are treated at hospitals, out of which 1 784 are stationed in Tbilisi, 281 – in Adjara and 704 – in Imereti. Acute health conditions are observed in the case of 795 patients, out of which 379 are based in Tbilisi, 61 – in Adjara and 192 – in Imereti. Lung ventilators are used in the case of 234 patients, out of which 158 are stationed in Tbilisi, 5 – in Adjara and 29 – in Imereti. 634 individuals are placed at clinical hotels, out of which 258 are based in Tbilisi, 296 – in Adjara and 37 – in Imereti. 5 991 individuals are treated at home.
460 individuals are placed in quarantine, out of which 235 are located in Tbilisi, 76 – in Adjara and 9 – in Imereti.
In total, 21 360 individuals have been transported from the sovereign border to quarantine spaces in the period of October 6, 2020 through January 17, 2021.
At present, 22 714 individuals are in self-isolation, out of which 12 842 are based in Tbilisi, 1 871 – in Adjara and 2 488 – in Imereti.
