Chikori increased dried fruit sales on the export markets by 30% this quarter compared to the same period last year. As Ana Soselia, the company's export manager, told Bm.ge, due to the increased demand on the export markets, the company will purchase and process a total of 900 tons of different fruits from local farmers this year.

"We are now in the process of adding new dryers and machines. At the same time, receiving and processing of raw materials is actively underway. We are successfully following the raw material processing plan and by the end of this year, we will have almost twice as many ready-made products compared to the last year," she says.

As for the export markets, according to her, the products are exported to Lithuania, Germany, Latvia, France, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Canada at this stage.

Kareli fruit processing company Chikori has been operating on the Georgian market since 2015, which owns a black plum orchard and a dried fruit processing plant on 25 ha in the village of Samtverisi in Kareli.

The number of employees in the company is 50.
