“The plastics recycling enterprise in Khobi (Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region) is first example of importing the Chinese investment project from South-East Asia to Georgia after coronavirus pandemic”, said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development after the meeting with representatives of Global Recycling Company.
The project was being prepared during the state of emergency and construction of the enterprise will begin in the nearest future. According to Minister of Economy, 50 million GEL will be invested in the project and about 400 locals will be employed.
Global Recycling Company bought 300,000 square meters of land plot through an auction in Khobi will build the plastics recycling plant in the Municipality.
