Citizens arriving from Mestia will enter mandatory quarantine, said Alexander Khojevanishvili, the Head of Operating Headquarters of the Interagency Coordination Council.
In a bid to avoid the spread of the virus, tourists from all settlements of Mestia Municipality will be transferred to the quarantine zones, noted Khojevanishvili.
The lockdown has been imposed on Mestia Municipality today after 17 cases of coronavirus were detected in that area.
Restrictions on movement have been imposed on other villages of the Municipality as well.
