“Citizens in Georgia will be ensured with the Trump standard, Remdesivir will be available late October”, - the General Director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, Tengiz Tsertsvadze said.
According to Tsertsvadze, it is still a luxury, because only America is capable to have this medicine for the sick. Several more countries are in the process of having it acquired.
“The whole world stands in the queue for medicine and in addition, there are many bureaucratic procedures. In some cases, it takes two months to deliver the medicine, but here we found the mechanisms that the delivery will take place in 10-14 days, and somewhere from October 25-30, Georgian citizens who have a severe or critical form of coronavirus will have Remdesivir included in their treatment process. In the relatively distant future, monoclonal antibodies will be available, within the study of which Georgia will participate. Ordinary citizens in Georgia will be ensured with the Trump standard", - Tsertsvadze said.
