Citizens over the age of 18 will be able to receive the second booster dose of the anti-coronavirus vaccine.
The Immunization Council issued the above recommendation and it will come into effect in a few days when the relevant order is published.
Today, citizens of Georgia and people aged 18 and above with permanent residence can be vaccinated against Covid-19. The vaccine, produced directly by Pfizer, can be administered to persons aged 16 to 18, as well as pregnant women and children aged 12 to 15 with chronic diseases.
As for the third, booster dose of the vaccine, people aged 18-60 who have been vaccinated with any vaccine can get a booster dose with the desired vaccine. It is possible to do the so-called booster dose 3 months after the vaccination course. At this stage, the population can take Sinopharm; Sinovac and Pfizer vaccines.
