Consumer prices in Armenia up 6.1% in January-May 2022

Consumer prices in Armenia in January-May 2022 increased by 7.7% compared to the same period of 2021, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said.

It said consumer prices in May 2022 compared to May 2021 were up 9%, while compared to April of this year, the increase was only 0.1%.

According to the NSC, the industrial goods in January-May 2022 rose in price by 9.6% compared to the same period in 2021.

According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Committee, Armenia's economic activity index grew by 10.2% in January-May 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, ARKA reports.
