Zaza Tamarashvili, director of Rabati Complex declares, that the complex had 91,240 visitors in 2022 and he intends the figure to exceed 100,000 this year.
According to him, this year the management of "Akhaltsikhe Complex" also assumes that foreign visitors will surpass Georgians.
"Akhaltsikhe Coplex" started 2023 positively and we are satisfied with the number of visitors at this stage. We think that this dynamic will continue throughout the year and the number of visitors will also affect the income. It isn't easy to make preliminary forecasts because tourism is a field that depends on many factors, although we still have some calculations.
If everything goes well and nothing will hinder tourism in the country, we assume that foreigners will exceed the number of Georgian visitors in 2023", - Zaza Tamarashvili explained.
In 2022, "Akhaltsikhe Castle" hosted 91,240 visitors. 50,224 of them were Georgian citizens, and 41,016 were foreigners. The total income of the complex exceeded GEL 1 million in 2022.
