Electricity production in Armenia in January-May 2022 increased by 13.1% compared to the same period of time last year, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.

According to the NSC, electricity production grew to 3,745.4 billion kWh. It said also that electricity production in May 2022 was up 8.2% compared to May last year, and down 10.9% compared to April 2022.

The drop was due to the scheduled preventive maintenance of the Armenian nuclear power plant from April 16 to June 23, 2022, ARKA reports.
