"Delta Textile is a successful project, which we launched a year and it has grown into a prominent enterprise serving our praiseworthy army" stated Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia in his conversation with journalists at Delta Textile sewing plant today, which he visited to personally explore the process of production and high quality of local output for the military personnel of the country.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, prior to the establishment of Delta Textile, problems of quality and supply were witnessed for some years, but now these problems have been addressed altogether.

The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked Juansher Burchuladze and Management of Delta Textile for the implementation of a significant project.

"Delta Textile is a successful project. You may well be aware that we launched a year ago and it has grown into a prominent enterprise serving our praiseworthy army. Garment and footwear is all made here. It employs almost 450 people, who create truly high-quality products for our praiseworthy army. Of course, it is gratifying that we are no longer ordering garments and footwear from overseas. You may well be aware that problems of quality and supply were witnessed for some years, but now these problems have been addressed altogether. Besides, we are thus saving about 20-30%. Of course, the enterprise is charging the net value to the army and it is truly a significant project. I wish to once again thank Juansher - the Minister - and Management of Delta Textile, together with all those who were engaged in the process and implementing this utterly important project" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Delta Textile was incorporated in 2020 when Irakli Garibashvili was a Minister of Defense of Georgia and the idea behind the decision was to produce garment and footwear for the defense forces domestically.

Enterprise, equipped with state-of-the-art Italian and Japanese sewing machines and hardware, produces superior quality field and routine uniforms for winter and summer for the military personnel serving in the defense forces of Georgia. Inter alia, it produces a series of combat equipment, vests, raincoats, wind jackets, pullovers, hats, gloves, backpacks, sports bags, field bags, item sacks, linen and sports uniforms.

The Prime Minister of Georgia was briefed in detail about the implemented and intended efforts by Juansher Burchuladze, Minister of Defense of Georgia; Zurab Azarashvili, Deputy Minister and officials of Delta Textile. Event was attended by Gen. Giorgi Matiashvili, Major General of Defense Forces of Georgia and his Deputies; Gen-Major Zaza Chkhaidze and Joni Tatunashvili, Brigade General.
