“The demand has been reduced, which is also conditioned due to the exchange rate, ”Giorgi Imnadze, director of the postal company PostalOn told BM.GE, adding that the reduction in demand was also affected by the customs clearance limit.

"Even without GEL exchange rate or the coronavirus, this limit needs to be increased. Customs clearance applies to cheaper items as well and people are avoiding it,” said Giorgi Imnadze.

At the same time, the director of the company says that due to the ongoing processes, the demand for delivery service has increased, so a contract has been signed with Glovo, which ensures prompt delivery of parcels to customers.

As for working on the background of Coronavirus, according to Giorgi Imnadze, the employees of the company work remotely, except for the warehouse employees. According to him, they all follow the recommendations and instructions. At the same time, Imnadze notes that both the warehouse and the cargo are being disinfected.

"So far, we have been working smoothly, there has been no delay in terms of cargo arriving," Giorgi Imnadze added.

To note, PostalOn carries parcels from the United States, Germany and China.
