"The Economy Minister and entire economic team are under the capture of several people in that council and cannot make decisions" - a Guide, Alexander Paikidze says that the members of the Coordination Council cannot take responsibility for the economic effect of restrictions, which puts the sector in a difficult position.
Speaking to TV Show Business Morning, Paikidze said that representatives of the sector would continue rallies.
“I have the impression that the Minister of Economy and the entire economic team are under the capture of several people in that council. Natia Turnava is not able to make decisions. I feel sorry for Turnava, as she wants more to do in this direction”, Paikidze notes.
According to Alexander Paikidze, the decision is taken by the sector, which has nothing common with the economy and looks from a narrow perspective.
“They are dishonest with their statements. If I go to the surgery room and make decisions, can you think what outcome will be there. The same thing takes place in the country in terms of the economy”, Paikidze declares.
Paikidze notes that travel sector had communication with the state at the first stage, but then they completely covered themselves with a blanket.
“We saw how well the restaurateurs and all other sectors followed the regulations. Does anyone count from alternative sources, how much the grown COVID cases were related to the economy opening? We are in a state of blackmail, if economy is open, COVID cases will grow. We have a rally today at 15:00 and wait for what will happen, we work spontaneously," Paikidze said.
