Imports of electricity fell by 55.2% in April. According to the Electricity Market Operator (ESCO), a total of 36.2 million kWh of electricity was imported from Russia and Azerbaijan in April of this year, while 80.8 million kWh in the same period of 2019.
Exports in April were 6.4 million kWh, whereas 0.038 million kWh in the same period of the last year.
As for electricity consumption, amid a state of emergency and limited economic activity, consumption in Georgia increased by 7% in April 2020 compared to 2019.
